  6. Now that I have XFree86 2.1.1 on my newly-updated 1.0B system (Aug 1 tars
  7. from ftp.iastate.edu), I can't get X to work.  The X server exits immediately;
  8. some fooling around with SuperProbe revealed that it is exiting when it calls
  9. ``ioctl(CONS_fd, X_CONSOLE_MODE_ON, ...)''.  I have 'options USERVER,XCONSOLE'
  10. in my kernel config, is there something else that I'm missing?  Why does
  11. ioctl hate me?  :-)
